hi there :)

Resume

Thank you for stopping by, I’m happy you’ve made your way here. There are so many corners of the internet you could’ve chosen to spend your time in, and I’m truly honored that you’ve chosen mine. Let me take a moment to introduce myself:

My name is Sasha Serdyukov, and I use she/they pronouns. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado, and am currently based in the small town of Los Angeles, California. If I have but one goal in this life, it’s to make the world a better, kinder place—whether that’s through taking part in the creation of art that touches someone’s soul, educating and empowering the youngest members of our society, applying my upcoming graduate studies in psychology, or a combination of all of the above.

I am many things, but at my core, I’m an artist—my chosen mediums are dance and filmmaking. I believe the greatest art comes from telling stories in a way that's authentic, compassionate, and curious. I am a voracious learner and enthusiastic collaborator. I hope to create safe spaces in art and education for everyone to express in a way that’s true to themselves. We could all use a bit more kindness these days, why not be the one whose kindness is unwavering?

Sasha Serdyukov (she/they) is an interdisciplinary movement artist based in Los Angeles, California. She is interested in creating collaborative works of art that tell authentic stories and provoke heartfelt emotions in audiences.

Having worked in the commercial, concert, and theatrical realms of dance, Sasha’s recent credits include: becoming a member of MashUp Contemporary Dance Company in Los Angeles, dancing as a soloist at the Lankershim Arts Center Empowerment festival (chor: Tracy Silver), The Knife in my Side EP Release concert starring as a featured dancer and co-choreographer (dir: Gabrielle Henderson “Softpower”), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum starring as an ensemble dancer and acting as dance captain and associate choreographer (dir: Scott Borden), Archetype, an evening length contemporary dance show, starring as an ensemble dancer (dir: Lily Chumas), and Footloose starring as an ensemble dancer (dir: Barry Pearl, chor: Michelle Elkin).

She has also recently begun her choreographic journey, developing original works for stage and film. Most notably, she released her debut self produced, directed, choreographed, and edited dance concept film set to Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!”, available on YouTube and Instagram, in May of 2024. The film is set to premiere at the LA Queer Film Festival in January of 2025. She also co-choreographed a contemporary live stage duet with Erika (Rik) Soto titled “What does it feel like when you’re dreaming?” which was showcased at the Santa Barbara Summer Dance Festival and the Selah Dance Collective showcase in August 2024, and MashUp’s September 2024 choreography open mic night.

Sasha received their BFA in Dance Theatre from AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts, and is currently pursuing their MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

Sasha also works as a performer for The EcoHero Show, touring elementary schools around California performing shows that teach kids about making environmentally conscious choices. Working with kids is one of her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.
